  QIC Embedded Controller
QIC Embedded Controller
Designed for mechatronic systems, The QIC board can be embedded into a variety of applications including state machines, safety circuits, integrated controllers, servo systems, mobile robots and more. Based on the 16F877PIC Micro by Microchip Technologies, it brings state of the art micro-controllers to your fingertips.
The mother board has 8 A/D, 2 PWM, a serial port and a host of digital IO as well a parallel slave bus. It is designed to easily integrate into a breadboard for prototyping or to incorporate into a final product with minimal effort. The daughter board allows for two quadrature encoder measurements, offers two high current drives and incorporates signal conditioning to connect to most of the experiments we make. Use it for your next robotics competition or as the fundamental unit for student projects.
Software includes a serial programmer, a serial bootstrap loader, realtime control software templates and examples for realtime control with serial communications to a PC for online tuning and data collection. A Java applet that runs on the PC and communicates with the QIC is also supplied.
