“Engineering attracts naturally curious people who want to understand how things work.”
As a Ph.D., inveterate questioner and Senior R&D Engineer at Quanser, Ernest creates control systems laboratories – for students passionate about learning and success.
You wish every student could be like Ernest Earon. The learning, the need to understand, is the destination.
“When I was looking at universities, I was interested in aircraft; how they move; how they stay in the air; the propulsion systems … It was a neat application of physics and sciences and I wanted to know more.
My Ph.D. was on autonomous systems. Then I was working on planetary exploration and mining with mobile robotics.
I like to work on the cutting edge of technology. I’d like to continue. As long as you keep pushing, there are always questions to be answered.
And I see myself continuing to push.”
