Process Control with the Quanser Coupled Tanks

Process control is a large field used in industries such as oil and gas, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, water treatment, and power. Process control often involves the level control of fluids in tanks using valves, pumps, and so on. In this webinar, we’ll show how the Quanser Coupled Tanks system can be used for process control experiments for your undergraduate or graduate laboratory. This webinar will introduce you to:

  • Solution overview – Coupled Tanks hardware, peripherals, and PC software options.
  • Highlighting the different configurations:
    • Single tank SISO system
    • Dual tank state-coupled SISO system
    • Dual tank state-coupled and input-coupled SISO system
    • Quad-tank unstable system (**requires two Coupled Tank systems)
  • Running some of the experiments through the Quanser’s QUARC Rapid Control Prototyping software
