Remotely accessible laboratory hardware has been a hot-button topic in the engineering lab space for a number of years. But despite large advancements in telepresence and communication systems over the last decade, no disruptive technology or obvious solution has emerged to solve the remote lab problem.
We at Quanser have been creating our own tools for remote access labs for well over ten years. We have a lot of ideas on how to make remote access easier, more reliable, and, ultimately, a better learning experience for students. In this webinar, we discuss some of the challenges and considerations you may face when setting up your own remote lab and offer recommendations based on our work in the remote lab space. We also demonstrate some of the concepts and available tools used in our own remotely accessible hardware demo in Experience Controls.
