Equipping ground and aerial robots with guidance, control, and navigation systems is essential to enable such robots to perform outdoor autonomous missions. The process of evaluating the performance of robots using different control systems inside the laboratory is an important step towards running them in external environments. This is due to the need to carry out repeated experiments of nonproved systems, in the first stage, before moving to outdoor validations.

In this webinar, Dr. Mohammad Hayajneh, assistant professor at The Hashemite University, Jordan will discuss his research work that focuses on developing, implementing, and testing navigation and control systems for ground robots and drones. The current motivation is to prepare such robots for smart farming applications including the smart irrigation.
