Presenter’s Bio
Paul Karam
Paul Karam is Chief Robotics Officer and Chief Operating Officer at Quanser. With over 20 years of experience, he leads Quanser’s R&D roadmap, business development strategies, and day-to-day operations – driving the development of experiential lab platforms that transform how engineering is taught and researched.
Previously as Director of Engineering, Paul led teams building cutting-edge applications in autonomy, AI, and self-driving technologies. He also spearheaded Quanser’s virtual lab experiences during the pandemic, enabling accessible controls labs for students worldwide. Over his career, he has collaborated with thousands of universities including Purdue, ETH Zurich, The University of Manchester, and Tsinghua University.
Paul holds an Honours Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo and holds multiple patents in haptics and robotics.
